Vogue editors in the US have distanced themselves from celebrity photographer Terry Richardson after the controversial snapper became embroiled in a new sex scandal.
The 48-year-old, who has worked with stars including Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, hit headlines after model Emma Appleton shared a screenshot of a text message she allegedly received from Richardson.
In the message, which was posted on Twitter, the snapper reportedly stated, "If I can f**k you I will book you in NY (New York) for a shoot for Vogue."
Emma maintains the text was real, but the controversy prompted her to remove the post and subsequently delete her Twitter account to avoid online abuse and criticism.
A rep for Richardson has since denied the claims, insisting the text is "obviously a fake", but Vogue bosses have now spoken out to deny any plans to reunite with the photographer.
A statement issued by Vogue chiefs to UsMagazine.com on Monday (21 April) read: "The last assignment Terry Richardson had for US Vogue appeared in the July 2010 issue and we have no plans to work with him in the future."
Richardson has previously been accused of sexual misconduct by models including Jamie Peck and Charlotte Wheeler, but he has never been arrested or charged over the claims.
He spoke out to slam the accusations of inappropriate behaviour in March, insisting he had become the victim of an "emotionally-charged witch hunt".
